This Cookie Policy explains how 1st Private Capital, Inc. ("we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on 1stprivatecapital.com, including the client portal. It is part of our Privacy Policy. It applies to visitors anywhere; the rights below are available to everyone who uses the site, whatever state you live in.
Your Choices
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to choose: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage choices. Nothing beyond what the site needs to run is set until you choose. Closing the banner without choosing is not consent. You can change your mind at any time.
Three more ways to control cookies:
- The "Cookie Settings" and "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" links in the footer of every page open the same settings panel.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as your request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information: advertising is switched off automatically, the site shows a short notice that the signal was honored, and the settings panel says so. You can still turn advertising on in the panel if you want to.
- Your browser. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking strictly necessary items may stop the portal sign-in, the chat, or the settings panel from working.
What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser so it can recognize you on the next page or the next visit. "Similar technologies" means the other ways a site can remember or measure things: local storage and session storage in your browser, pixels (tiny images or scripts that tell a service you loaded a page), and software development kits inside apps. This policy uses "cookies" for all of them.
First-party cookies are set by this site. Third-party cookies are set by another company through code on this site, such as Google or Meta, and can recognize you across the other sites that use the same company's tools. That cross-site recognition is what remarketing depends on.

1. Strictly necessary
Always on. These make the site work and keep your own choices. They do not follow you to other sites and are never used for advertising.

2. Functional
Cookies that remember a preference beyond what the site needs to run. This site currently sets none. If we add one, it will appear here and in the settings panel.
3. Analytics
Used only if you allow Analytics. These measure how the site is used, which pages are read, and where visits come from, so we can improve the site. We use Google Analytics for this. Google receives the page you viewed, a random identifier for your browser, your approximate location from your IP address, and technical details of your device and browser.

4. Advertising and remarketing
Used only if you allow Advertising. These let Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) recognize that you visited this site, show you 1st Private Capital on their own services and on other sites, and measure whether an ad led to a visit or a request. Google and Meta receive the page you viewed, an identifier for your browser, and, where Meta's pixel is enabled, a hashed form of contact details you enter in a form. They use that information under their own privacy policies and may combine it with what they already know about you.

Google's tags run under Google Consent Mode: they are told "denied" for every purpose before they load, and are only told "granted" for the purposes you allowed. When you reject Advertising after allowing it, we tell Google and Meta to stop, and we delete the cookies above that we are able to delete from this site. Cookies set on Google's or Meta's own domains are governed by their controls, linked below.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, letting an advertising company such as Google or Meta collect information about your visit through a cookie or pixel, so that it can show you ads on other sites, is treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands. That sharing happens only if you allow the Advertising category.
To opt out of sharing: leave Advertising off in the settings panel, reject it in the banner, or send the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. Any of these is a complete opt-out; we will not ask you to create an account, verify your identity, or take any further step, and we will not ask you to opt back in for at least 12 months unless you open the settings panel yourself. The opt-out applies to this browser on this device; repeat it on another browser or device, or use the Global Privacy Control signal, which travels with your browser.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16, and we do not use sensitive personal information for advertising.
Rights in Other States
Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and several other states give residents the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling, and many of them require us to honor a universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control. The settings panel and the signal work the same way for you as for a California resident, and you do not need to prove where you live to use them. Where a state gives you the right to appeal a decision we make about a request, you may appeal by writing to the contact below, and we will explain the outcome.
Our App in ChatGPT and Other Channels
Our app inside ChatGPT sets no cookies on this site. What we receive through it is described in the Privacy Policy. Emails we send may contain a small image that tells us the email was opened; you can block images in your email client to prevent it.
Retention
Each item above lists how long it lasts in your browser. Our own copy of your cookie choice exists only in your browser. Information that a form or chat request carries to us, including the first-party visit record, is kept with the inquiry under the retention terms of the Privacy Policy. Google and Meta keep the information they collect under their own retention rules.

Changes to This Policy
We will update this page when the cookies we use change, and the date above will change with it. If we add a new category or a new advertising vendor, the banner will ask you to choose again.
